The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Planning Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

What we're looking for:Education:High school completion or equivalent (GED)Experience: Minimum 3 years related work experience in Supply Chain field

*Basic understanding of Materials Requirements Planning functions*Knowledge of Microsoft and SAP*Excellent communication skills*Ability to perform job duties sitting at a computer combined with moderate walking for duration of the shift

In this role you will:

Review stock levels based on Material Demand reports/transactions MD04 and MD06, MD07 * Support Planning to maintain the production schedule * Generate and release daily production orders based on planned schedule and within defined parameters * Maintain 30+ days of planned to production order conversions for all assigned kits based on demand review in MRP, complete material availability checks for production orders and conversion, modify dates accordingly * Modify the dates for planned production orders to align with capacity and material availability * Complete these activities without interruption between each (5-10 minutes total): a. Check SAP inventory for raw material availability. b. Assign Batch for raw materials to order using BAM (batch manage indicator) c. Release Order for production. Orders should not be released more than five (5) days in advance of the production date d. Perform peer label review* Print and compile packet. The packet includes seven (7) documents: Pick Sheet, Production Order, Non-inventory Checklist, Placard, Assembly plans, Labels, and Inserts * Physically transfer the production packet to the Warehouse pick cubby. Orders must be placed in priority order for picking. This should be completed within 48 hours of the scheduled production date. * Monitor the production process and troubleshoot production issues immediately as they arise. Escalate as needed. * Complete SAP transactions to create Transfer Orders (TO), Transfer Requests (TR), release orders, confirm print list (CO11n), update long text and close orders. All SAP transactions must be completed at the time of each respective step. * Monitor and update non-customer supplied material shortages. Communicate to Planning, PMA and Procurement in relation to raw material shortages immediately upon awareness. * If necessary, partner with Inventory Control to assist with MIA components investigation and resolution * Manage and update Exception Message maintenance in SAP* Ensure date management for all assigned kit work orders are maintained factoring in production availability, raw material availability, and additional factors as needed* Control finished goods inventory level at a reasonable level based on the planning strategy in SAP* Create and maintain file archives* Notify supervisor of any identified mistakes in accuracy immediately* Assist with training of newly assigned associates* Work as a productive member of the team or independently* Perform other duties as required
