Job Description

Required:

  • 2+ years of GIS experience.
    • 1+ year of GE Smallworld experience.
  • Construction drawings and record knowledge.
  • No mandatory field work or OSHA training.
  • Hybrid office schedule.
    • Remote setup must be in a quiet room with a closable door for Teams discussions and training.
      1. Company will provide all essential hardware that is to only be used on the project and not for personal tasks. Hardware components consist of two 24" monitors, laptop, docking station, keyboard, headset, and mouse.
      2. A proper workplace with a comfortable chair and sturdy desk or table no less than 60"x24" is required for optimal production. The company will not provide these items.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks, be detail-oriented in a production/metrics driven environment.
  • Ability to adapt to project/standard changes while meeting tight deadlines.

Duties and Qualifications:

  • QC GIS Technician's work thoroughly and meet the required metrics set by the Project Lead.
  • Regularly review SharePoint to view project progression and to prevent potential mistakes between statuses.
  • Creating Document Requests & Procedural JIRA tickets to client when necessary.
  • Reviewing and completing feedback from the client.
  • Participating in Lessons Learned with the Team and potentially joining Status Calls with the client.
  • Conducting training with the new GIS Technicians to share our project procedures and standards.
  • Assisting the GIS Technician's various questions daily.
  • Assisting the Project Lead with any additional tasks.

Software and Skills:

  • ESRI ArcGIS Mapping, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • MS Office.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Multi-tasking and adaptability.
